Tips & Tricks: Lookahead Compression and the FET Compressor

Tony Maserati, one of the giants of the recording industry, sent us an article about how he uses the lookahead feature of the FET Compressor to achive a fast attack but retain the smooth sound of a slower attack.

Review Section

Paul Vnuk Jr. has reviewed the TSAR1-Reverb for Recording magazine. It's a great review, and we'd like to quote him on the conclusions of the review:

Bottom line, it holds its own, especially in rick sonic uniqueness. The TSAR-1 package is a deal at $180 street (the Lexicon Native Bundle is $1500 and the 224 requires UAD-2 hardware). If you are still stubbornly stuck on the hardware reverb train, or just want a new and amazing flavor of reverb for your sessions, check out TSAR-1. It will surprise you.

(The $180 price he is referring to was during the campaign, now it's $299.) To read the entire review, be sure to grab yourself a copy of the November issue of Recording Mag.
